All States Asphalt, Inc
All States Asphalt, Inc. (ASA) was founded in 1957 by a local entrepreneur in Sunderland, Massachusetts. From 1957 until 1978, ASA was a local business specializing in the application and transportation of liquid asphalt products. ASA’s operations have expanded from the application and transportation business into the production of asphalt emulsions and the operation of asphalt distribution terminals.

Warner Bros., LLC
The story of Warner Bros. is one that has spanned three-quarters of a century and three generations of the Warner family. Throughout this period of time the business and family have evolved and spread their roots throughout the Pioneer Valley.

Warner Bros., LLC was founded in 1926 as Warner Bros. & Goodwin. By the 1940s the business had changed its name to Warner Bros. Corp. and was focusing on heavy construction. They engineered and constructed highways, bridges, and drainage, but they did not produce the blacktop that was used in their construction work. By 1950 the company’s founder was joined by his three sons, and together they began to expand their business. They first constructed a hot-mix plant in Sunderland, Massachusetts, which aided in the construction of Route 116 in 1955. In 1965 they constructed a second hot-mix batch plant in the stone quarry they owned and operated in Deerfield, Massachusetts. 1992 marked another milestone for the company with the construction of its third hot-mix operation, a drum plant in the Deerfield stone quarry.

As the country’s highways aged, the demand for new construction was superseded by the need to maintain and upgrade the infrastructure that already existed. Warner Bros. responded by shifting its business focus from constructing new highways and bridges to maintaining highways and bridges.

Although the core of the company’s business is currently hot-mix paving and aggregate supply and sales, Warner Bros. also offers new bridge and dam construction as well as the construction, operation, and maintenance of pump stations and waste treatment plants.

Historical note: Warner Bros. helped give All States Asphalt, Inc. its start in 1957. The original offices of All States Asphalt, Inc. were located in the Warner Bros.’s Sunderland, Massachusetts, yard. Warner Bros. was ASA’s very first customer of Asphalt Cement. United again, the Warner Bros./ASA team continues to build on the synergies of both great companies.

New England Emulsions Corp., acquired in 1983, produces high-quality Anionic and Cationic Emulsions, Latex, Nova Chip, and Asphalt Rubber Emulsions as well as high-performance cold patch liquids.

Killingly Asphalt, LLC
Killingly Asphalt, LLC began operations in 1996 and is a bituminous concrete manufacturing plant serving northeastern Connecticut and parts of Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

Johnston Asphalt, LLC
Johnston Asphalt, LLC, acquired in 2002, is a bituminous concrete manufacturing plant serving Rhode Island and parts of Massachusetts.

Trew Stone, LLC

Down East Emulsions, LLC (*Member of ASMG, joint venture)
Down East Emulsions, LLC is a joint venture that was formed in 1999. The facility produces high-quality Anionic and Cationic Emulsions, Latex, Nova Chip, and Asphalt Rubber Emulsions as well as high-performance cold patch liquids. Down East also distributes high quality asphalt cement throughout the state of Maine.
